Infographic – Cloud Computing and On-Demand Infrastructure: 1995 to Today

You’ve heard that “Cloud Computing” has been around for a long time and it’s just a new name for what we have had for a while – on-demand infrastructure.  This Infographic looks at the history since the Internet went mainstream in the mid-90’s.

With the recent acquisition of Dedicated Hosting and Cloud Hosting provider SoftLayer and the popularity of 1st Generation Cloud Computing services like Amazon AWS,  ProfitBricks presents a multi-dimensional view of where the industry has been and where it’s going.

Finally, as we wind-down the 2012-2013 trade show season, ProfitBricks welcomes HostingCon 2013 to Austin, TX and the 12th International CloudExpo to New York’s Javitz Center this week. We look forward to seeing many old friends.
